Key Responsibilities
Solution Architecture
End to end solution architecture and design for AEC systems from Idea Inception through to Requirements, Design, Implementation and Build, Testing, Go-Live and Transition & Handover
Lead the development and implementation of applications, widgets, integrations and tools to support the digitization of the design, engineering and construction phases of an AEC project.
Provide recommendations and advice on prioritization of technical risks and issues resolution.
Work closely with clients, contractors, and technical teams.
Develop solution architecture documentation using industry standard methods and best practices.
Support development of requirements and user stories collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to refine requirements and develop user stories that clearly define the needs and expectations of the end-users.
Identify and assess digital transformation opportunities within operations and provide actionable solutions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful implementation of digital tools and platforms.
Conduct research on emerging technologies to inform strategic decision-making.
Lead the digital development teams and partners in the planning, design, and implementation of systems
integration and development activities across multiple initiatives.
Develop and execute integration strategies that align with project objectives and timelines.
Collaborate with engineering, project management, and other departments to ensure cohesive integration of systems.
Manage the analysis, verification, and validation of system integration requirements.
Identify and mitigate solution architectural risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Provide guidance on best practices for systems integration and ensure compliance with industry standards.
Maintain detailed system integration documentation, including technical specifications, workflow diagrams, and test plans.
Act as a mentor to junior team members, guiding them in their professional development.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance integration processes.
Support development of non-functional requirements: Assist in defining non-functional requirements such as performance, security, and usability, ensuring that the software meets industry standards and user expectations.
Support definition of functional requirements and features: Collaborate with stakeholders to define and document functional requirements and features that align with business goals and user needs.
Digital Design & Construction Management Systems Design
System design and documentation: Create detailed system architecture diagrams and documentation to provide clear guidance for development teams.
Ensure that documentation is kept current and accessible for future reference.
Drive Proof of concept demonstrations lead the development of proof-of-concept projects to validatenew ideas, technologies, or approaches.
Present findings to stakeholders to demonstrate feasibility and gather feedback.
Communicate technical recommendations and designs.
Software & Data Development
Develop and configure databases and data management tools.
Lead development and testing of functional req and features.
Maintain and update Jira board with up-to-date tasks and spikes.
Support the running of agile ceremonies facilitate and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog grooming to promote team collaboration and continuous improvement.
Lead show and tell development demonstrations organize and conduct demonstrations of completed work for stakeholders and team members to showcase progress and gather constructive feedback.
Lead spikes and analysis: Drive exploratory efforts (spikes) to investigate new technologies or complex issues, providing analysis and recommendations based on findings to inform future development.
Develop data analysis tools and dashboards to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics. Report to the Head of Digital Systems performance and progress of the digital developments.

Digital Design & BIM Platforms: o Revit, Revisto, Rhino, Navisworks o AutoDesk Suite, AutoDesk Construction Cloud o AutoDesk Forge, AutoDesk Platform Services o Bentley ProjectWise.
Digital Construction Management Systems o e.g. AsBuilt Vault, AI Clearing or AutoDesk Build
Asset Information Management Systems: o Datum360, AssetWise or AVEVA o COBie, Uniclass
Virtual Build Simulation & Experience · 4D & 5D BIM · GIS Systems e.g ESRI · Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Systems
Digital Twin Platforms e.g. Invacara
BIM/GIS Workflow Management & Automation e.g. FME
Net and/or Python scripting and software development
