Requirements The Walsh School of Foreign Service (SFS) , founded in 1919, is a premier school of international affairs. SFS provides a rigorous education grounded in both theory and practice while instilling the Jesuit value of service. Father Edmund A. Walsh, S.J.'s vision was a school that would prepare students for all major forms of foreign representation - official and unofficial, governmental and private sector, whether commercial, financial, consular or diplomatic. The Operations and Programs Manager will support the operations of the Center for Contemporary Arab Studies (CCAS), oversee the reporting, data collection, and implementation of the Title VI Grant, and manage front desk activities with the addition of the MA in International Migration and Refugees program. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: CCAS Operations Support Manage the overall operations of CCAS, including ordering supplies, coordinating the work of CCAS committees, and providing faculty support. Manage and staff the front desk, including student workers. Handle incoming and outgoing mail, answer phones and direct students/guests. Respond to general emails and correspondence directed to ccasinfo@georgetown.edu Execute financial transactions, including but not limited to ordering supplies, preparing documentation for contracts and reimbursements, and managing/procuring equipment. Serve as Requisitioner and Expense Preparer in GMS. Manage and reconcile ProCards for CCAS. Ensure compliance with policies on card use. ISIM Operations Support Support faculty and staff in the MA in International Migration and Refugees program. Assist ISIM faculty and staff by setting up computers and printers, troubleshooting office technology, ordering supplies, and managing/reserving meeting spaces for ISIM events and meetings. Respond to general emails and correspondence directed to isim@georgetown.edu and mimr@georgetown.edu . Handle incoming and outgoing mail; answer phones; direct students and guests. Support implementation of ISIM grant activities and summer MIMR internships, including keeping track of MOUs of hosting agencies, providing support to students as needed. Title VI Grant Implementation Support the implementation of Title VI activities, including FLAS and NRC. Oversee data collection, coordinate with internal and external partners for current grants, and assist in the preparation for the next cycle of the Title VI Grant application. Assist with NRC public events including supplier registration, booking venues and participant and speaker travel, etc. Support the Assistant Director of Academic Programs with the academic year and summer FLAS application processes including advertising, responding to inquiries, and managing application process. Manage and reconcile financial transactions related to Title VI and FLAS activities. Work Interactions This position reports to the CCAS Senior Director of Programs and works with the Director of Graduate Studies, and CCAS and ISIM staff. Requirements and Qualifications Bachelor degree At least 2 years of experience in program management and operations Strong interpersonal and communication skills Knowledge of the Arab world region, international migration and refugees, and higher education is helpful Work Mode Designation This position has been designated as On Campus . Pay Range: The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $44,022.00 - $73,406.80 Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
