WHAT YOU WILL DO:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Safely unloads hazardous bulk liquids into storage tanks from tanker trucks and railcars, if applicable.
- Interface with a PLC control system to control and monitor the blending of raw materials into finished products.
- Safely operates forklifts to move packaging materials and filled drums/totes of liquid product from the packaging stations to the storage locations and bulk bags from the warehouse to the operating area.
- Safely positions and discharges bulk solids into process equipment while wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Obtains, labels, and delivers samples from various equipment and containers to the laboratory.
- Troubleshoot software, instrumentation, solids-handling, blending, and hydraulic systems.
- Participates in lock-out/tag-out and other safety procedures on equipment in preparation for maintenance activities.
- Isolate and remove select equipment as directed by Supervision after-hours when maintenance is unavailable.
- Execute emergency procedures in response to chemical incidents, inclement weather, or other situations that threaten the safety of team members and the plant site.
- Adheres to all safety policies and guidelines; is accountable for their personal safety and the safety of their co-workers.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (“GED”)
- Career Readiness Certificate-Must be silver or higher
- 0-6 months in related experience
- Ability to understand documents such as policy manuals, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Knowledge of basic math- addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Utilize common sense in order to carry out written, oral or diagrammed instructions
- Strong communication skills (oral and written)
OUR ENVIRONMENT:
Outside or inside working environment, wherein there are potentially hazardous working condition and life-threatening situations exist (fire, chemicals, electrical sources, heights, etc.).
Team Members will be subject to lift / carry up to 50 lbs. and push / pull up to 100 lbs. on a consistent basis.
