The Opportunity:
Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced General Foreman who is responsible for organizing and directing craft team members based on project schedule, including preparation, handling and supplying of materials to be used by other craft team members.
Responsibilities:
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures
- Supervise and coordinate activities of foreman and their assigned craft workers
- Interpret specifications, blueprints and job orders
- Interpret company policies to workers and enforce safety regulations
- Establish and adjust work sequences to meet construction schedule, using knowledge capacities of equipment and assigned personnel
- Study/analyze in schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for completion of job
- Analyze and resolve work problems
- Maintain time records
- May make cost estimate for contracts
- Use logical step-by-step procedures in work
- Plan work and solve problems
- Make decisions based on measurable information
- May operate machinery
- Provide leadership to other team members and apprentices by displaying resourcefulness, starting work
- habits, and creativity in problem solving based on information and judgment
- Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels
- Lead team members by example, offer effective coaching and feedback, and effectively manage
- Performance
- Daily Work Logs
- Oversight of trade partners
- Weekly SWPPP Inspections
- Engage in daily foreman meetings
- Submit three day lookahead for POND meetings
- Calculate and report daily production and quantities
- All other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 5 years of related experience; commercial or residential infrastructure experience (preferred) - SWPPP installation and Maintenance
- Previous experience working with tools, equipment and machinery.
Physical requirements:
- Repetitive Hand/Arm/Leg Movements
- Lifting/Carrying/ Pushing
- *Lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling over 50 lbs. will be done with assistance of another team member or equipment.
- Walking Multiple Miles per day on uneven ground
