The general responsibilities of this position include (1) clinical evaluations, including examining and evaluating the patients' prosthetic/orthotic needs in relation to their disease entities and functional losses; (2) implementation of a wide assortment of orthotic/prosthetic treatment modalities, including perform fittings, static and dynamic alignments, evaluating prostheses/orthoses on patients to assure maximum fit, function, comfort, and workmanship, as well as instruct patients in the use of prostheses/orthoses; (3) technical fabrication of orthotic/prosthetic devices for both in and out patients, including formulate designs for prostheses/orthoses, selection of materials and components, take all necessary cast measurements, and model modifications; and (4) maintaining adequate patient records. This position is expected to meet basic clinical standards, complete tasks in a timely manner, and adhere to office policies and practices. This position is required to take weekend call according to the schedule created at the beginning of each fiscal year. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $113,500 - $258,100 (Annual Rate).
