Responsibilities
- The Logistics Analyst analyzes, evaluates, and formulates logistics data while providing assistance for maintaining in current status and implementing long-range plans, special and alternate plans, emergency deviations, policies, directives and studies related to logistical support for the installation, tenant units/activities, and activities in the geographical area of responsibility.
- Assists with developing means of meeting operational and functional requirements to satisfy mission requirements, anticipates technological, organizational, and operational changes and adjusts plans accordingly.
- Documents planning efforts and follows through to ensure revisions are expeditiously approved and published.
- Responsible for the initiation, formulation, coordination, publication and updating of logistical plans in support of all aspects of mobilization, deployment, and training at Fort Carson.
- Provides assistance for technical and functional coordination, analysis, and advisory services to the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) Continuity of Operations, Supervisors, Departmental Managers, and AFSBn staff.
- Performs staff actions and projects based upon tasks, conferences, meetings, and higher headquarters' initiatives, directives, and queries.
- Performs daily functions using automated information systems (AIS) related to maintenance, supply, and transportation (GCSS-Army, LMI-DST, AESIP, ARMY VANTAGE, FMS-Web, FEDLOG, and SharePoint Microsoft Office Suite).
- Serves as the LMI-DST Planner/Vetter in the Modernization Displacement and Repair Site (MDRS) for Akima Facilities Operations (AFO).
- Plans, develops, and conducts program analysis. Develops, maintains and monitors integrated reporting systems. Forecasts and estimates maintenance, supply, and transportation requirements and prepares reports, justifications, charts, graphs, statistical and narrative data, etc.
- Conducts process audits to ensure compliance with ISO 9001/2008 Performance Work Statement (PWS) and Performance Requirement Statement (PRS) 5.38 standards.
- Develops processes and flowcharts to support process development and improvement within the maintenance, supply, and transportation departments.
- Shall attend multiple division G4, AFSBn, and contractor meetings fulfilling the role of a liaison and schedule planner for the induction of divestiture, lateral transfer and turn-in of equipment to the HQDA EXORD 111-24 RAPID REMOVAL OF EXCESS (R2E) and Army ARSTRUC 2024-2029.
- Compiles functional area data, performs data analysis, and generates reports and graphic data representations utilized to assess capabilities, assess production throughput, and assess operational support.
- Conducts statistical and trend line analysis to support process improvement for the functional areas.
- Participate and facilitate, as required, in Quality Management System, Management Review and process improvement meetings.
- Provides assigned management reports relating to the maintenance, supply, and transportation management processes.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A High School graduate or equivalent with good oral and written communications skills, academic course work in computer information systems or military courses associated with Government automated information systems preferred.
- Division level planning, operations, and scheduling experience preferred.
- A minimum three-year general experience in management, investigative/causation research, technical ability or other professional work that demonstrates judgment, analytical ability, and general knowledge of maintenance, supply, and transportation operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications required.
- Must possess and continuously maintain a current State of Colorado Driver's License prior to starting or by 30 days after employment.
Security Clearance:
- Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) to obtain a CAC and SECRET Clearance.
- Must receive a favorable background check and drug testing results.
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
- All elements of Microsoft Office Suite, flowcharting programs, and Logistics Information Systems (LIS).
Working Environment/physical Activities:
- Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may involve the conduct of work in the out-of-doors area with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions.
- Work will require lifting to 50 lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting.
- Employee use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required in certain areas.
- Such PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, hand, torso, respiratory, vision and hearing protective devices.
- Must comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published Company work rules.
Pay Range
$70,000.00 - $73,622.19
