Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Principal Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to serve our best clients in the industry to deliver challenging major FDOT transportation-related projects.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Utilize industry experience and knowledge of client to assist with pursuit strategies
- Identify key pursuits
- Lead pursuit efforts (pre-sale, teaming, proposal, interview, presentations, etc.)
- Scope development/refinement
- Negotiations
- Team (internal/external) collaboration and coordination during project delivery
- Monitoring and mentoring of staff
- Leading internal/external progress meetings
- Management of scope, schedule, and budget
- Identification of opportunities for follow-up work
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Experience in delivering final design for Major FDOT projects including FDOT Miscellaneous Structures, Minor Bridge Design, and Major Bridge Design.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical/business field, Professional Engineer registration and 10+ years of related work experience is required.
- Proven ability to perform in a leadership role in the structures discipline.
- Strong business acumen and proven experience in management of staff resulting in profitable projects and favorable FDOT grades.
- In-depth knowledge of FDOT design procedures, and associated state and federal guidelines/requirements.
