The Solution Architect (SA III) serves as the technical leader for agile teams, defining and communicating a cohesive technical vision for the solutions under development. The SA is adept at architecting comprehensive end-to-end solutions by effectively translating customer requirements into technical implementations. A critical aspect of this role involves spearheading the design of Azure architecture for both mobile and web applications.
Responsibilities
What makes you an ideal candidate?
- Define Technical and Architectural Vision: Establish the technical and architectural vision for solutions under development, making informed decisions through technical trade-offs and analysis of alternatives.
- Evolve Solution Architecture: Continuously refine the solution architecture with insights and feedback from application architects and software engineers.
- Outline Solution Components: Define the primary components and interfaces of the solution, detailing their interactions.
- Develop Architecture Runway Enablers: Plan and develop architecture runway enablers by conducting research, prototyping, and other exploratory activities to evaluate prospective solutions and alternatives.
- Collaborate on Requirements: Work closely with the Product Manager, Product Owner, Application Architect , and Software Engineering teams to translate product requirements into technical requirements, which inform the development of accurately estimated user stories.
- Remove Architectural Impediments: Participate in Scrum of Scrums to identify and resolve architectural impediments and blockers.
- Engage in Solution Demos and Planning: Take part in Solution Demos and program planning sessions, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or equivalent experience preferred
- 4-6 years of relevant experience required
- Agile Methodologies: Advanced knowledge of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Lean, XP) and cross-functional teams.
- Application Architecture: Expertise in multi-tier application architecture design, full SDLC application development, and application integration.
- Service Oriented Architecture: Proficient in SOAP, Web API, REST API, and microservices.
- Solution Architecture: Advanced knowledge in implementing solution architecture across domains such as technology, information, data , application, security, and integration.
- Architecture experience in Salesforce.
- Additional Experience:
- Mobile application development
- Building cloud solutions architecture using Public Clouds (IaaS and PaaS)
- Containerization (Docker, Docker Swarm, Kubernetes)

OUR BUSINESS & OUR HISTORY
GM Financial was founded as AmeriCredit in September 1992 and opened its first branch office in Fort Worth, Texas. On October 1, 2010, AmeriCredit Corp. was acquired by General Motors Company and renamed General Motors Financial Company, Inc. (GM Financial). In 2011, GM Financial acquired FinanciaLinx to serve GM dealers and customers throughout Canada. In November 2012, GM Financial announced the acquisition of Ally Financial Inc.’s international operations. The majority of those acquisitions were finalized in 2013, with the remaining market, a 35 percent equity interest in a joint venture in China, acquired in January 2015. In October 2017, GM Financial completed the sale of its European financial subsidiaries and branches as part of General Motors’ sale of the Opel and Vauxhall businesses to Peugeot S.A.
