Raytheon - Advance Products & Solution (APS) is seeking a Senior Program Manager (Senior Manager, Program Management) to support multiple small to medium program areas within the Radio Frequency (RF) Solutions Sub-Strategic Business Unit (SSBU).

What You Will Do

  • Implement plans, processes, and business goals

  • Set program priorities, resolve conflicts and barriers, implement gates and major reviews with the customer

  • Manage cost, schedule, scope, operational security and customer interface activities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and implementation management 

  • Interface with program team to implement contractual requirements and ensure production efforts remain on time and within budget

  • Work proposal activity

  • Establish BOE Development

  • Coordinate and maintain Program Management Plans and Program Directives, consistent with program requirements

  • Support all phases of the program life cycle from proposal through implementation to closure

  • Work with the Program Management Office and Functional leads to implement and drive closure of corrective actions as warranted

  • Prepare for customer program reviews and customer visits 

  • Deploy disciplined program management best practices, processes, and resources to achieve effective implementation of program requirements 

  • Travel, up to 25%, to participate in domestic business engagements, as needed

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field with 10 years of relevant experience in Program Management or a relevant discipline such as Project Management, Material Program Management, Cost Account Manager or Integrated Product Team Lead

  • Experience working with Estimate at Completion (EAC) practices

  • Experience leading cross-functional teams

  • Experience engaging and reporting out to all levels of executive stakeholders

  • Experience working proposal execution

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite resources

  • An active and transferable Secret level U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Thorough strategic thinking, analytical, and program management skills

  • Program Management Certification (Level 5) completion within 12 months

  • Ability to comfortably lead consultative sessions and out-briefs with senior leadership

  • Effective communication/presentation skills and possess the demonstrated ability to influence teaming peers and others involved in the capture process to gain valuable “buy-in” to move the proposal forward is one of the keys to success for this position

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, can develop clear, concise and logically written business communications as well as deliver recommendations effectively to key stakeholders and demanding audiences

  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and final implementation

This role is also eligible for the Re-Empower Program. The Re-Empower Program helps support talented and committed professionals as they rebuild their capabilities, enhance leadership skills, and continue their professional journey. Over the course of the 14-week program, experienced professionals will gain paid, on-the-job experience, have an opportunity to participate in sessions with leadership, develop personalized plans for success and receive coaching to guide their return-to-work experience. Upon completion of the program, based on performance and contributions participants will be eligible for a career at RTX.

We Are RTX

The salary range for this role is 130,000 USD - 272,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
