We are looking for a talented Product Functional test Mechanical Technician – level II to join our team specializing in Product Functional Test for our Cummins Inc. facility in Stoughton, WI.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Ensure Accurate Testing : By following established test procedures and methodologies, you'll help maintain the accuracy and reliability of test results.
Efficient Preparation : Preparing test articles and associated fixtures, rigs, and equipment will streamline the testing process and ensure readiness.
Validate Test Equipment : Your understanding of test equipment functions will contribute to the validity and reliability of test outcomes.
Product Knowledge : Demonstrating knowledge of the product under test will help assess its contribution to the validity of test results, ensuring comprehensive evaluations.
Installation and Troubleshooting : Performing test stand installations, troubleshooting, and setups will ensure smooth and efficient testing operations.
Maintenance of Equipment : Upkeeping and maintaining laboratory equipment will prolong its lifespan and ensure consistent performance.
Adaptability : Performing other duties as required will showcase your flexibility and willingness to support various aspects of the testing process.
Continuous Improvement : Your role will contribute to the continuous improvement of testing procedures and methodologies, enhancing overall testing efficiency and effectiveness.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.
Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
QUALIFICATIONS
This position is for Second Shift (2pm to 10pm CST)
- Ability to troubleshoot complex problems
- Basic knowledge of Diesel Engines and Aftertreatment Components preferred
- Basic knowledge of computers and computer programs preferred
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite programs
- Ability to multitask many projects or assignments at the same time
Compensation
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
