Coordinator, Aquatics - Part Time | Community College of Baltimore County - Military Veterans

Coordinating the total swimming pool operation for the recreational and community use programs. Responsible for implementation of all national, state and county regulations with the operation of the swimming pool facility, including sanitation, safety, security, and emergency procedures.  Associates of Arts degree required, Bachelors preferred. Five years aquatics experience; pool operator certification, Lifeguarding/First Aid certification, CPR and AED certification required. Blood Borne Pathogen training provided by CCBC.   This position requires mostly weekends with occasional evenings. Positions are located on the following campuses: Dundalk, Catonsville, and Essex Manage and maintain swimming pool.  Assist users in the facility.  Assist faculty with class equipment needs.  Maintain all records pertinent to daily operations.  Support part time associates. Support lifeguards as necessary.  Implement risk management procedures for the aquatic facility.  Handle emergency situations in the pool area as necessary.  Serve as weekend pool operator and lifeguard. Monitor and maintain pool water quality by testing every two hours as required, recording, analyzing, diagnosing, and adjusting chemicals as necessary.  Ensure that all safety equipment is operational to meet county and state regulations in the pool area (AED, Oxygen, CPR masks, First Aid Kits, Spine Boards, Phones, etc.)  Essential Job Duties are intended to be examples of duties and are not intended to be all inclusive.
