Job Description:
Are you ready to take on a career-defining challenge in metro system infrastructure? Parsons is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Engineer to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimization of railway infrastructure and systems. This role is critical in ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the railway network, covering rolling stock, track, signaling, power supply, and other key systems.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in railway maintenance, with expertise in diagnosing issues, implementing maintenance strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules for railway assets, including track, signaling, rolling stock, and power systems.
- Perform routine inspections and identify potential issues to prevent equipment failure or service disruptions.
- Lead troubleshooting and repair efforts for mechanical, electrical, and electronic railway systems.
Diagnostics and Problem Solving:
- Use advanced diagnostic tools and techniques to analyze and resolve system failures and inefficiencies.
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.
System Optimization:
- Monitor the performance of railway systems and recommend improvements to enhance reliability, safety, and efficiency.
- Ensure timely replacement or upgrading of worn-out components to minimize downtime.
Safety and Compliance:
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with local regulations, industry standards, and company safety policies.
- Develop and enforce safety protocols for maintenance personnel and contractors.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and system performance.
- Prepare detailed maintenance reports and present findings to stakeholders.
Team Collaboration and Training:
- Work closely with other engineers, technicians, and operational staff to coordinate maintenance activities.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on maintenance procedures and best practices.
