Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control is seeking a Security Intern for Summer 2025 Intern at our Orlando, FL facility. In this role, you will navigate through several security disciplines such as Personnel Security, Classified Cybersecurity, Facilities & Asset Protection, Physical Security, Crisis Management, International Security, Supply Chain Security, and Counterintelligence and Investigations. While rotating through different programs within multiple lines of business the intern will also be given a project(s) to drive innovation. The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of problem solving and streamlining processes. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
• Actively enrolled in Bachelors degree from accredited university in Security Management, Homeland Security, Criminal Justice, International Studies, Cyber Security, IT, Computer Science, or related disciplines.
• Ability to obtain a Final Secret Security Clearance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
Desired Skills:
• Interest in learning about the protection of sensitive data and administering security requirements in the workplace.
• Meet the Basic Proficiency Level by the required Foundational Qualifications found in the DoD 8140 policy series, or ability to qualify for the Basic Proficiency Level.
• Ability to create, prepare, and deliver security related briefings.
• Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Self-starter, quick learner and able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
