Summer 2025

 

Position Summary: Learn to quote, plan, budget, manage and document all aspects of a project. Project Managers work closely with upper management and supervisors to ensure project scope and direction are communicated effectively to accurately meet deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist Business Development/Application Engineering team to determine solution, and quote the necessary equipment & services to execute the project;
  • Learn to review bill of materials, and other project documents to accurately estimate costs;
  • Participate in proposal presentations and customer follow-ups;
  • Learn how to effectively establish and maintain relationships with Customers and outside vendors;
  • Learn how to kickoff active projects and efficiently communicate project scope and objectives to the project team
  • Learn how to perform risk management to minimize project risks;
  • Learn how to manage changes to the scope and project costs using appropriate verification techniques;
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility;
  • Assist in ensuring resource availability and allocation;
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

Experience / Skills:

  • Candidates must be in their junior or senior year of a 4-year undergraduate program from an accredited 4-year academic institution (i.e., mechanical engineering);
  • Maintain a G.P.A. of “B” (i.e., 3.0) or higher (selected candidates may be requested to provide transcripts upon offer of internship);
  • Aptitude to uphold company values while interacting with clients, vendors and / or co-workers;
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills,
  • Professional mindset with integrity;
  • Organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking; and
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nonessential Skills and Experience:

  • Safety (OSHA, SDS), ANSI (RIA) Standards.

  • Attend required EH&S training.
