Raytheon is looking for an electrical engineer to work in the Space and C2 (SC2) Product Line of the Raytheon Intelligence & Space business unit.

The candidate must be experienced in design, analysis, simulations, development and testing of RF circuits and CCAs for Receiver/Exciter sub-systems. The Subsystem design engineer should be familiar with digital Receiver/Exciters for distributed systems for space hardware. Other activities may include developing solutions to test issues, developing productivity and efficiency enhancements, updating design documentation, working with suppliers to resolve component issues, and evaluating design changes.

U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position will need a U.S. Security Clearance within 1 years of start date.

Position is with the Space Systems RF & Communications Electronics Department in El Segundo, California.

Required Skills:

  • Minimum of 8 years of electrical engineering experience.

  • Hands on experience in design, analysis, development, bread‐boarding, troubleshooting and testing of RF circuits as well as ability to isolate failures to root cause.

  • Experience with EE lab equipment such as multimeters, signal sources, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and performance network analyzer (PNAs).

  • Ability to read drawings and electrical schematics

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to document test results and repair recommendations clearly and concisely

  • U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position requires a DoD clearance within one year of employment

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to access US only data systems

Desired Skills:

  • Familiarity with RF design tools such as  Keysight ADS, Genesys, Mentor Expedition, and Ansys HFSS

  • Existing DoD clearance

  • Existing SSBI

  • Prior experience in Defense or Aerospace

Required Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline.


Desired Education:

  • Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering
