Cornell Tech's Studio is the signature differentiator of the eight master's degree programs at Cornell Tech. All 400+ of Cornell Tech's master's students participate in a practically oriented, multi-disciplinary, team-based curriculum, corresponding to eight credits across two semesters. In the Studio, students work in multi-program teams to learn and practice user-driven tech industry development processes, creating prototypes of digital-enabled products and services. Students engage with end-users, companies, nonprofits, and government agencies in creating prototypes of digitally enabled solutions to real-world challenges, getting vital feedback and ideas from fellow students as well as faculty and practitioners from the NYC tech community, via a variety of formats, including flipped-classroom lectures, workshops, crits, sprints, and more. The Studio Partnerships Coordinator plays a key role in supporting these relationships, working under the Director of Studio Partnerships to support the daily operations of the Studio program, ensuring a positive classroom experience for students and external partners alike. The ideal candidate is one that thrives in rapidly changing environments, can take initiative and be proactive when there are many moving pieces, enjoys 'wearing different hats' and focusing on different parts of the job throughout the year, and is overall excited by a role that evolves and changes as the Studio programs scale and grow. This candidate has the ability to connect academic culture and curriculum to real-world digital culture and excels in developing and managing relationships. Essential Functions: Company engagement- 50% Collaborate with the Director of Studio to develop and maintain strategic marketing collateral and marketing materials for external companies and organizations, including slide decks, one-pagers, web pages, invitations, etc. Network and prospect for new leads of external companies and organizations to participate in Studio programs Act as representative to external companies and organizations to facilitate their participation in Studio programs and manage data stored in multiple repositories such as CRM systems Lead and/or participate in information sessions for representatives of external companies and organizations to learn more about how to participate in Studio programs Plan, participate in development and evaluate sessions and processes and recommending enhancements as needed Develop and tailor correspondence (email, Slack, or Canvas announcements) to generate students interest related to their relationships with external companies and organizations and provide crucial information based on project deadlines Mediate and build at times complex and multi-faceted relationships, as needed, between student teams and representatives of external companies and organizations Practitioner engagement- 35% Collaborate with the Director of Studio to develop and maintain marketing collateral and marketing materials for external practitioners, including slide decks, one-pagers, web pages, invitations, etc. Network and prospect for new practitioner leads to participate in Studio programs Maintain and manage data stored in multiple repositories such as CRM systems Act as representative to external companies and organizations to facilitate their participation in Studio programs and manage data stored in multiple repositories such as CRM systems Lead and/or participate in information sessions for representatives of external companies and organizations to learn more about how to participate in Studio programs Plan, participate in development and evaluate sessions and processes and recommending enhancements as needed Develop and tailor correspondence (email, Slack, or Canvas announcements) to generate students interest related to their relationships with external companies and organizations and provide crucial information based on project deadlines Plan and lead online and live events where practitioners engage with student teams to provide expertise and feedback to students on their work Other position-related responsibilities- 15% Participate in projects with occasional work responsibility falling above or below current classification. Coordinate with other departments related to partnership programming. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with 2-4 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Work in either an academic or corporate setting managing partnerships, overseeing programs and operations, and/or implementing platforms. Demonstrable technical skills and experience with standard desktop tools including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (G Suite), Zoom, and Slack, and ability to operate cloud-based tools, including Salesforce, Airtable, Mailchimp, Adobe Sign/Docusign, etc. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and significant experience in program execution Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills and relationship building qualities are essential. Ability to communicate with, work effectively with, and maintain a positive rapport with students, faculty, corporate stakeholders, vendors, and community partners alike. Proven ability to work in a team context, as well as the ability to be effective when working independently. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. Ability to cultivate and develop inclusive and equitable working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
