Job Summary
Position Overview:
Medline Industries, LLP is seeking a skilled Magento Systems Analyst with expertise in performance optimization and Varnish caching. This role is integral to ensuring our eCommerce platform delivers exceptional user experiences by optimizing speed, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with development, DevOps, and business teams to maintain and enhance platform performance in line with Medline's commitment to operational excellence.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performance Optimization: Analyze and address bottlenecks in Magento performance, including database queries, front-end rendering, and backend workflows.
  • Caching and Scalability: Implement and manage Varnish caching strategies to enhance load times and improve scalability.
  • System Integration: Ensure seamless integration with Medline's APIs, payment gateways, and other third-party systems without compromising performance.
  • Monitoring and Diagnosis: Use tools such as New Relic, GTmetrix, or Blackfire to proactively monitor system performance and diagnose issues. New Relic preferred.
  • Collaboration: Partner with DevOps teams to optimize hosting solutions on platforms such as AWS or Azure, ensuring smooth deployment and CDN configurations.
  • Documentation: Maintain up-to-date documentation of performance strategies, configurations, and troubleshooting processes.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working with Magento (preferably Magento 2) with a focus on performance optimization.
  • Strong expertise in Varnish caching, and CDN configuration.
  • Proficiency in PHP, MySQL, and Magento architecture.
  • Experience with performance profiling and debugging tools.
  • Familiarity with cloud-hosted Magento solutions on AWS or Azure.


Preferred Skills:
  • Understanding of eCommerce industry best practices and user experience considerations.
  • Experience with traffic management and load balancing.
  • Knowledge of DevOps processes, including CI/CD pipelines.

The anticipated salary range for this position:
$96,200.00 - $144,560.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

In 2002, Medline began delivering products in the Chicagoland area with a single truck. Today, Medline’s MedTrans transportation fleet has grown to more than 1,500 vehicles, delivering nearly 80% of Medline U.S. product sales and providing consistent, exceptional end-to-end supply chain service.

This includes implementing across-the-board fuel and emissions-reduction standards and practices: utilizing Dynamic Route Planning to reduce miles and improve trailer utilization; purchasing the most efficient diesel-fueled trucks; and incentivizing all drivers to avoid hard stops, heavy acceleration, high speeds and long periods of idling. Medline also has served as an Environmental Protection Agency SmartWay® Transport partner for the past 10 years, tracking and sharing information on the company’s fuel use and freight emissions.
