This individual is responsible for managing and advising on all research communications with a primary focus on the management of digital channels and guided by the principles of customer service excellence. This individual will provide leadership and vision for BUs research communications strategy; conceive, execute, and assess research communication strategies and vehicles; directly manage and advise on internal and external campaigns and communications related to BUs research enterprise; oversee the online presence development and maintenance of the Office of Research website; and provide oversight, support and training to reporting areas in developing and maintaining their websites and communications. Qualifications will include demonstrated experience and leadership in managing a comprehensive strategic communications and marketing program to advance a complex organization's mission and goals; a creative problem-solver, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into action plans and output; a persuasive communicator, with exceptional written, interpersonal, and presentation skills; experience mentoring and coaching communications specialists; and the ability to make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs. Required Skills B.A./B.S., very strong writing and communication skills, experience managing a large website, use of web-based content management systems, research-related workflows, and customer service and five-plus years of related experience.
