The Role:
Our site in Chaska, MN is seeking an OT (Operational Technology) Cyber Metrics Intern to join our team for the Summer 2025 season. This assignment is intended to be 12-14 weeks in duration, beginning in mid-May or June through August.
This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of OT cyber metrics and threat intelligence framework. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented and analytical individual with strong communication skills, who will gain practical experience in OT cyber metrics development and threat intelligence framework implementation. By joining our team, you will contribute to the growth of a robust and secure OT ecosystem, enhance your knowledge of OT cybersecurity concepts, build relationships with industry experts, and develop valuable skills that can be applied to future career opportunities.
What You'll Do:
• Conduct literature reviews and analysis of existing OT cyber metrics and standards
• Collaborate with the team to design, develop, and validate new OT cyber metrics
• Collect and analyze data from various sources (e.g. logs, sensors, network traffic) to inform metric development
• Develop a framework for collecting and aggregating OT cyber threat intelligence
• Research and identify emerging trends and threats in the OT space
• Assist in testing and validation of developed metrics and threat intelligence framework
• Contribute to documentation and communication of findings and recommendations
• Support the development of training materials and educational content related to OT cybersecurity
• Provide input on the development of policies and procedures for OT cybersecurity

Outstanding Candidates Will Have:
• Familiarity with operating system security, including Windows and Linux
• Experience with network protocols and devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls
• Experience with data science tools, such as R or SQL
• Experience with collaboration tools, such as Teams, Github, Jira
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders
