Surgical Pathologist, Assistant/Associate Professor, Pathology, Anatomic Pathology - Military Veterans

Stony Brook University?s Department of Pathology is seeking a faculty member to serve with responsibilities and duties in Surgical Pathology and medical education.

Academic rank at the Stony Brook University Renaissance School of Medicine will be commensurate with experience and academic record.

Required Qualifications:

MD, DO (or foreign equivalent) in Anatomic Pathology. American Board of Pathology board eligible or certified in Anatomic Pathology. Eligibility for New York State licensure. Strong diagnostic skills and the potential to serve as an outstanding educator of medical students, Pathology residents, and clinical fellows. Demonstration of scholarly contributions in clinical/translational research and experience in medical education. Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Fellowship training in Surgical Pathology or sub-specialty area, including, but not limited to, gynecologic, breast, genitourinary, head & neck, pediatric, bone and soft tissue or GI pathology. In lieu of fellowship training, demonstration of expertise in sub-specialty will be considered. Demonstration of scholarly contributions in clinical/translational research and experience in medical education.

Non-Tenure Track position. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. To qualify for a senior faculty appointment, the candidate must meet the criteria established by the School of Medicine ( School of Medicine's Criteria for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure ).
