Job Description

St. Cloud State University is seeking applications for potential adjunct instructors who qualify to teach in the Herberger Business School ? Hospitality and Tourism Program. Individuals interested in being considered for part-time, adjunct teaching positions in the Hospitality and Tourism Program should specialize in one of the specializations below:

  • Ethics in Hospitality and Tourism
  • Geography of Tourism
  • Food Tourism
  • Hospitality and Tourism Seminar
  • Tourism Planning and Policy

Individuals who can teach in the above discipline should indicate the area (s) they feel qualified to teach in the cover letter and/or resume.

Compensation is per credit; the current credit rate is a minimum of $1819 per credit.

This adjunct position will remain open for 1 year to allow departments? access to candidate pools when there is a need to hire an adjunct to teach a course(s) during defined academic semester(s).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Master?s Degree in Hospitality, Travel, and Tourism, Geography, or fields related to the curriculum OR a related bachelor?s degree and other special preparation or experience.
  • Evidence of the ability to teach and work with persons from diverse backgrounds

Preferred Qualification
  • Previous College/University teaching experience
