Responsibilities

About the role

The Credit Review Analyst I - Auto Finance Fraud is responsible for performing independent and unbiased monitoring and assessments of the company's credit activities with an emphasis on detecting fraud and misrepresentation. This team member will work closely with the Dealer segments by monitoring compliance and proactively addressing loans originated with fraud or misrepresentation.

In this role you will:

  • Review Excel based red flag reporting to identify accounts requiring fraud investigation
  • Investigate loan originations for fraud or misrepresentation by reviewing the loan documentation and the systems utilized to underwrite, fund, and collect the accounts
  • Identify underwriting and funding weaknesses, address areas of non-compliance, and recommend change when necessary
  • Assist in the development and support of models, analysis, and reporting related to the soundness of credit activities
  • Perform quality monitoring across the organizations by analyzing, summarizing, and monitoring compliance of credit policies and procedures
  • Consult with management when needed and make recommendations on policy exceptions and control weaknesses to ensure that findings are correct
  • Create reports for management with viable recommendations for improvement of business operations, efficiencies, and internal controls
  • Research and Development opportunities to keep up with industry fraud trends and resources Perform other duties as assigned
  • Assist fellow team members to establish a consistent level of quality, accuracy, and compliance to departmental standards and internal controls

Qualifications

Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required And
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • 0-2 years auto lending, finance/banking experience preferred
