Facility Services Coordinator - Military Veterans

at Penske Truck Leasing

Position Summary:

The purpose of this entry-level role would be to alleviate various administrative tasks from the project engineers and supervisor while assisting with day-to-day requests and execution of Corporate managed facility programs such as HVAC, Janitorial, Security, Lighting, etc. The primary impact of this role will be to provide the field and vendors with a direct point of contact to communicate, collaborate, and obtain solutions for their operational needs.

Major Responsibilities:





  • Develop and implement consistent Scope of Works for existing and new programs,


  • Build the Technical infrastructure for the programs (Smartsheet, etc).


  • Develop metrics (KPI's) for better analysis of vendors and programs.


  • Facilitate better business opportunities and partnerships between vendors and field personnel.


  • Focus on financial opportunities and savings by forecasting CAP expenses.


  • Provide customers (field) an overall better experience and service for their operational needs. This new role will allow operations to focus on their core business goals and not day-to-day facility needs. The Facilities department will also grow in conjunction with our rapidly expanding enterprise portfolio that has increased demands for support.


  • Other projects/tasks as assigned by Supervisor.




Qualifications:





  • High School diploma or equivalent required.


  • Associate's Degree in Accounting, Engineering, Construction, or Maintenance preferred


  • Smartsheet Certification preferred.


  • 1 year of trades knowledge or experience (strong plus)


  • 1 year of basic knowledge of various elements of the facilities including, but not limited to: lighting, janitorial services, HVAC systems, utility systems, roofing, paving, general maintenance, etc.


  • General understanding of facility assets and programs preferred.


  • Ability to process customer requests in a timely, professional manner.


  • Ability to analyze customer problems and aggressively pursue solutions which benefit the customer.


  • Ability to coordinate scheduling of vendor services and monitor day-to-day performance and issue resolution.


  • Effective communication skills to listen and to give clear direction.


  • Knowledge of Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet; able to create spreadsheets, emails and other departmentally required documents.


  • Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.


  • Willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location if required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening are required.
