Job Description
PCG is seeking an entry-level Financial Analyst for its Corporate Financial Services operations based in Lenexa, Kansas. This individual will:
- Ensure treasury services provided by banks are cost efficient and explore other economic alternatives as needed.
- Review bank account analysis statements and ensure all billings are appropriate.
- Monitor Joint Venture accounts.
- Monitor financial services platforms to ensure PCG employees have access to the systems they require and minimize the potential for fraud.
- Communicate cash position to Sr. Management.
- Prepare treasury related journal entries.
- Manage the Company's credit card program.
- Assist in the acquisition process through the management of account closures and managing escrow accounts.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to PCG business units.
- Administer the PCG Political Action Committee (PAC) reconciling payroll withholdings to the master contribution list, providing monthly reporting to outside counsel, and transferring money from PCG to the PAC.
- Act as liaison to PCG's Accounting Department for treasury related inquiries.
- Monitor and provide administrative support for customer payment application software platforms.
- Complete special projects and other duties as assigned including the preparation of non-treasury related financial analysis for various business units.
Basic Requirements:
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 0-2 years of experience in a related role
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and keep each on schedule ensuring that all deadlines are met
- Knowledge of finance and general accounting practices and functions
- Process oriented
- Strong analytical, communication and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with little supervision on long term projects
- Ability to work with other team members
- Adherence to the highest standards of safety and quality
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Self-motivated, improvement-focused, and customer-oriented mindset
- Demonstrable adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Proficient with Power BI
- Local to the KC Metro area
