Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized, motivated, detail oriented Third Party Data Management Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the negotiation, execution and management of third party data contracts with vendors on behalf of Chubb businesses that will use the data across various departments within the organization. This will be done with a focus on reducing redundant data purchases, increased value for data spend and ensuring compliance with Chubb standards, including third party risk assessment, legal review, proper contract storage, and third party data purchase reporting. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, excellent negotiation and communication skills, a strong understanding of data management principles and data architecture, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with excellent leadership and analytical skills.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Management, Data Science, Business Administration, supply chain management or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in data procurement, data management, data governance, or related roles, particularly focusing on third-party data sourcing. Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.

- Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Strong understanding of data management frameworks, policies, and best practices.
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal -- with the ability to convey complex information clearly to various audiences.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Working knowledge of Jira and Agile practices.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with data suppliers to secure the best deals for the company in terms of cost of data, volume, delivery method, price protection and renewal.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with various departments (e.g., Procurement, Finance, Legal, Business) to build strong partnerships and ensure alignment on business objectives and contract terms to deliver on commitments.
- Data Cataloging: Create and maintain a comprehensive catalog of active data contracts that documents the vendors used, contract terms, spend, data domain, and other metadata, and lineage.
- Reporting: Prepare and present reports to senior management on third-party data management activities, highlighting key metrics, cost-savings and avoidance, and potential issues with attention to detail to ensure deliverables are accurate, professional, credible and of high quality.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and technology solutions to improve third-party data purchasing and management practices. Create and operationalize new tools and processes for third party data purchasing and contract management practices across the Global Data Organization (GDO)
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Responsiveness to change and a willingness to adjust to a changing environment and new/different ways of working
