Global Cyber Architect Leader - Product Security
As a Director Product Security acting as the Global Cyber Architect Leader here at Honeywell, you will be responsible for leading and managing the product security architects, development, and strategy and initiatives for the Building Automation SBG. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the security and privacy of our products and solutions, and to mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities. Your role will be critical in ensuring the safety and security of our customers' buildings and infrastructure. You will report directly to the Product Security Chief of BA and you'll work out of our Bangalore, India or Atlanta GA location on a hybrid work schedule. This is a manager role with significant international leadership, collaboration, and influence to drive the best outcomes of our engineering teams and architects globally.
In this global role, you will have a significant impact on the growth and success of Honeywell by driving the development and implementation of robust product security measures. You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners across different regions and cultures to ensure that our products meet the highest security standards and comply with industry regulations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and provide strategic direction for secure software development initiatives and support security process activities like threat modeling and vulnerability assessments.
- Build and grow a world-class security architecture team, and audit key security deliverables for correctness and completeness.
- Collaborate with development teams to quantify residual product risk, identify appropriate security controls, and standardize security requirements across products and services.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and security expertise for all software and firmware development teams, and help engineering and Product Management teams identify security requirements.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional activities for incident response, and enable the organization to create, develop, deploy, and support secure products.
- Design, develop, and deploy cybersecurity training programs globally, and identify and develop internal champions and security experts.
- Select, roll out, and audit the usage of best-in-class tools for product security, and provide governance on the effective implementation of cybersecurity in new product introduction projects.
- Develop and implement the product security strategy, stay updated with the latest security trends and regulations, and foster a culture of security awareness and accountability among employees.
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelors or Masters degree in computer science or software engineering, or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years of software development with at least 4 years in developing secure systems
- 3+ years experience leading & recruiting cyber security talent. Experience in leading and managing a team of security professionals
- Excellent cybersecurity capabilities and strong software engineering skills
- Strong knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and practices such as threat modeling, security reviews, penetration tests, and security incident response
- Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging security threats, techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities, Standards & Regulations
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
- Ability to travel worldwide 25%
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Technical leadership experience in the software security field
- Certifications in security and privacy demonstrating deep practical knowledge such as CSSLP or CISSP
- Experience and knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools
- Understanding of Agile software development practices
- Experience in the building automation industry or related field
- Familiarity with IoT security and cloud security
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
