Accounting Analyst (Flex Home/Office) - Military Veterans

You will be supporting the GAAP accounting team. You will handle account reconciliations of the various cash payments received by the company. Participate in the financial statement close process as needed, to include preparing journal entries, financial reports, and reconciliations.
You will report to Senior Manager, Accounting.

Primary Accountabilities

• Support the completion of the quarterly and annual regulatory filings for multiple companies via preparation of assigned quarterly and annual statutory financial statement pages/schedules.
• Helps analyze account balances and income statement activity in response to requests from various state departments.
• Aid with requests from various state departments, communicating with them directly as needed.
• Coordinate with other departments to obtain necessary information.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills Requirements

• Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service.
• Demonstrated experience in communicating financial information.
• Demonstrated experience with spreadsheets utilizing complex functions and formulas.
• Solid knowledge and understanding of financial reporting, financial analysis, budget and forecasting techniques or internal controls.
• Working towards CPA preferred.
• Bachelor's degree is accounting or related field.
