Role:
This position works with merchandising leadership to sell, onboard Suppliers to, and support Suppliers and category management in execution of the PGI program.
The role will lead implementation and execution of the PGI program in Sysco Canada, representing benefits to Suppliers as well as supporting implementation of the JBP (Joint Business Planning) process in Canada.
They will work closely with the PGI GSC team and be the voice of Canada with respect to the enhancement roadmap for the platform.
Role Responsibilities:
- Support the training of all appropriate site and supplier personnel by teaching and explaining the business practices associated with electronic data interchange
- Provide support to Sysco colleagues and to suppliers by identifying problems and responding promptly with a resolution
- Implement and manage Suppliers on approved EDI solution providers such as iTradeNetwork and SPS Commerce
- Use interpersonal styles and communication methods to understand the supplier’s electronic integration capabilities, and work to gain their commitment to transact with Sysco using EDI
- Actively participate as a member of the eSupply Chain Services team in order to complete all set initiatives
- Manage and maintain Trading Partner activity in database and multiple tracking spreadsheets.
- Implement and work with EDI transaction sets including 850, 855, 997 & 810
- Support the onboarding of suppliers to Sysco’s Corporate and Central Billing platforms
- Prepare and transmit Chain Customer invoices
- Work with coding & standards, Operating Sites, and suppliers to resolve SUPC, MPC, SCC, or other coding issues
- Work with Accounts Payable and suppliers to resolve EDI invoice discrepancies
- Work with the Business Technology team in order to resolve help desk calls
- Have a strong knowledge and understanding of AS2 Communications
- Release data from Suppliers to ProLync
- Participate in various projects as required
- Complies with Sysco’s Food Safety Policy and procedures to ensure food safety, quality and legality requirements are met.
- Is willing to work safely with minimal environmental impact and understands the importance of reporting all hazards, incidents, and environmental spills immediately to their Supervisor.
- Understands that they play an integral role in their own safety and that of their colleagues and is willing to speak out when hazards are present.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Skills/Job Requirements (About you):
- Minimum five (5+) years job-related experience within a business role, preferably within an analytical capacity.
- Completion of post secondary education at an accredited institution, preferably relating to business, eCommerce, or computer science.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, GXS Trusted Link, GXS Bizmanager, OpenText Trading Grid Online.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels within the Sysco organization.
- Excellent time management, problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, business-minded, and have the ability to probe into information to get results.
