Manufacturing Operator
Pay - $30-$35/hour
Kelly Services is currently seeking a Manufacturing Operator for one of our top clients in Providence, NJ.
SUMMARY:
- The cleanroom manufacturing operator will be required to perform mixing, filling, weighing, sealing, and other repetitive tasks within a cleanroom environment.
- The manufacturing processes include manual and semi-automated manufacturing utilizing autoclaves, mixers, spatulas/mixing tools, balances, pH meters, thermometers, fillers, lyophilizers, and sealers.
- The operator must be able to gown and operate in a cleanroom environment for extended periods of time without breaks.
- The operator must be able to follow standard operating procedures, work instructions, and properly complete manufacturing work orders and quality documentation utilizing current Good Manufacturing Practices cGMP and Good Documentation Practices GDP.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED:
- Reports directly to the Manager, Manufacturing Operations
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manual and/or semi-automated mixing, filling, casting, and sealing of varying viscosity materials.
- Operation of lyophilizers and vacuum ovens.
- Must be comfortable operating and processing material for extended periods of time within a cleanroom environment.
- The operator should be accustomed to utilizing balances, thermometers, pH meters, sealers, autoclaves, lyophilizers, and vacuum ovens.
- The operator must understand and follow all procedures/work instructions and Good Manufacturing Practices including those that outline safety, cleanliness, calibration, assembly/process specifications, proper labeling, etc.
- All manufacturing and quality records/documents must be completed accurately and in accordance with Good Documentation Practices.
- All directions and instructions must be followed and must be able to work in a focused team environment.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, and flexible days within the week to meet batch milestone requirements
- Perform other manufacturing activities as assigned by the department leadership Must maintain a high degree of quality in all work performed
- Responsible for compliance with quality system procedures and all regulatory requirements.
DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for this position.
- Minimum two years experience working in a cleanroom environment in Medical Device or Pharmaceutical manufacturing industry
- Previous experience working in a regulated manufacturing facility with experience in proper record keeping.
- Must be able to read, write, and speak in English clearly and concisely
- Demonstrated attention to detail
- Demonstrated oral and written communication, critical thinking, arithmetic and proper business etiquette skills
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment, assisting and training others.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to operate, maintain, and troubleshoot process equipment, making minor adjustments as needed.
- Ability to gown to ISO Class 7 standards.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Degree in a related science a plus
- Demonstrated knowledge of cGMP s Basic computer skills for email and data entry
