Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current customers and prospective customers to generate new business for the organization
- Follow up calls and in-person visits and presentations to existing and prospective customers
- Researches sources for developing prospective customers and for information to determine their potential
- Develops clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers
- Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints
- Coordinates sales effort with sales management, marketing, accounting, logistics and R&D
- Analyzes potential and determines the value of existing and prospective customers' value to the organization
- Plans and organizes personal sales strategy by maximizing the return on time investment
- Supplies management with oral and written reports on customer needs, problems, interests, competitive activities, and potential for new products and services
- Keeps up-to-date knowledge of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical service areas
- Participates in trade shows and conventions
- Develops strategy and sets policy and procedures to support successful product launches.
- Oversee all sales projects from concept to delivery.
- Participate in cross functional teams within manufacturing and retail to develop strategies supporting market growth.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the manufacturing staff and leadership team from the sales perspective.
- Report the daily, weekly, and monthly data information as needed to maintain sales activities.
- Responsible to promote and pursuit continuous improvements
- Develop and maintain current broker network
- Other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- 2 years related sales experience
- Experience in direct and broker sales
- Experience in the food manufacturing industry required
- Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving; ability to determine solutions for customers (consultative sales approach)
- Must be results-orientated and able to work both independently and within a team environment
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications and contact management software
- Ability to travel up to 70% of the time as needed
- Must possess the ability to set and achieve sales goals
- Must have valid state driver's license
- Total impact to sales volume and sales profitability
- Ability to function as a team member and get along with others
- Ability to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitude

The salary range is $75,000.00 to $87,000.00 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility).
