About the College The College of Education, Criminal Justice, Human Services, and Information Technology (CECH) is dedicated to making a difference in our communities through outreach, academic programs, and community partnerships. Job Overview The CECH Business Office is seeking to hire a Financial Administrator 1 to contribute to the day-to-day administration of the College?s business operations. This person will primarily support the CECH Grant Administrator with pre- and post-award processes. This person will also assist with general financial operations of the college.   This position offers a hybrid work schedule for those with a residence within OH/IN/KY.  Residence must be within the Cincinnati Tri-State area with reasonable distance to UC Main Campus to have ability to report to campus as required.  Remote work arrangements are subject to change in accordance with university policies. Essential Functions Coordinate and monitor administrative duties. Assist in the development of unit policies and procedures. Monitor the financial status of unit programs and other budget allocations. Implement policies to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Prepare reports. May coordinate personnel functions for an operating unit at less than 25% of duties. Assist faculty and research staff with the processing of financial transactions for federal, state, and private grants, contracts, and any other external funding sources. Advise faculty and research staff with the financial management of sponsored projects to fulfill project-related expenditure goals and objectives. Work directly and collaboratively with the various offices of the university to fulfill all expenditure/compliance requirements and to resolve complex issues that arise during the duration of a sponsored award. Perform related duties based on departmental need. This job description can be changed at any time. Required Education Bachelor?s Degree must be in accounting or related field. Four (4) years of relevant work experience and/or other specialized training can be used in lieu of education requirement. Required Experience Related finance or accounting experience. Additional Qualifications Considered Experience in grant proposal submissions. Experience in post award management.  Experience preparing financial reports. Customer service experience.
