Oracle EBS Financials Manager - Military Veterans

The Oracle EBS Financials Manager is a hybrid remote position which will require the candidate to report and work from the office 5 days a week. Therefore, interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.

Responsible for application development activities utilizing Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) application modules. Reviews, coordinates, and schedules development projects, support and maintenance activities and other related departmental requirements. Provides overall direction and guidance to assigned project resources and direct reports. Reviews and evaluates work of direct reports and prepares performance evaluations and related merit and bonus recommendations. Clearly and effectively communicates and reports information to leadership, peers and business stakeholders as required and needed to facilitate collaboration and effective delivery of solutions to McLane business.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Select, train and supervise Applications Development staff on Oracle team including Project Manager(s), Business Analyst(s) and Application Developers.
• Conduct performance appraisals for direct reports in a timely fashion and initiate merit and bonus administration.
• Conduct regularly scheduled team and 1:1 meeting to ensure open and clear communication with direct reports.
• Provide the guidance, support and continuing training necessary to ensure a highly qualified and capable technical staff.
• Take ownership and responsibility for all projects and support tasks related to the success of the systems assigned to Oracle team.
• Develop Applications Development and maintenance/support plans for team consistent with the development and maintenance life cycles o Included in these responsibilities are project and resource plans, on-call support schedules, budgets, team/department objectives, etc.
• Collaborate with other Applications Development Managers, Architects, and Directors to ensure that solutions are well thought-out and cohesive across the enterprise.
• Allocate team resources to support projects owned by Oracle team and projects owned by other teams based on the business priority.
• Review project control information on a regular basis to ensure that projects are on schedule and on budget and institute corrective action as needed.
• Facilitate the development of timely and well-designed solutions by promoting the selection, procurement and use of current and future/trending development tools and methodologies.
• Ensure the enforcement of Information Systems and company standards including Applications Development lifecycle, coding standards, project reporting, resource management, and sound systems development practices and methodologies.
• Guide the team in working with Oracle Support to resolve issues related to the functionality owned and supported by Oracle, should be able to coordinate Oracle Web Conferences and participate in escalation of Service Requests as needed.
• Communicate and coordinate with all areas of the Technology department (including Architecture, Computer Operations, Quality Assurance, Security, Information Technology/Infrastructure, Auditing and User Management) to ensure everyone is informed and aware of project priorities, schedules and support/maintenance needs.
• Communicate with Technology and Business leaders on a regular basis to establish project priorities, provide status updates and to resolve issues and concerns.
• Maintain a close working relationship with Business stakeholders to ensure that information needs are recognized, well developed and translated into meaningful and user-friendly solutions.
• Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge of the systems analysis, program analysis, and project management functions especially as related to Oracle e-Business Suite (EBS) applications Approximate % of time traveling: 15-25%

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
• Bachelor's degree with 10 or more years of IT Oracle EBS experience of which at least 3 years is with V12 or higher.
• At least 5 year of management experience within the Applications Development and/or technology solution delivery space.
• 12+ years if Oracle SCM Functional/Technical experience with at least 8 in R12.
