Description:The Enterprise & Campaign Strategy (ECS) team within the Aeronautics Company (Aero) Strategic Planning (SP) organization seeks a Senior Staff Strategic Planner to be the Inorganic Pipeline & Partnerships Senior Strategist.
What You Will Be Doing
This role entails identifying and developing acquisition, investment, and partnerships for growth. As a member of the SP ECS team, this individual will be working collaboratively with other SP team members in both the Strategic Studies Group (SSG) and Growth & Resourcing (GRS) teams, as well as organizations across the enterprise, and key teams at Corporate. The primary objective of this position is to drive the Aero inorganic investment pipeline and ensure alignment with the Aero Business Area (BA) and Corporate strategy.
The responsibilities of this position include:
•Collaborating closely with Corporate Development to lead investment and acquisition transactions at the business area level
•Performing research on companies for initial assessment of strategic fit
•Coordinating with subject matter experts (SMEs) to gauge the applicability and validity of investment, acquisition, and partnership candidates
•Engaging with Corporate Development to support business area request and further develop connectivity with Aeronautics business area needs
•Working closely with Finance to create initial assessments of inorganic leads and develop materials for technical SME and functional leadership familiarization
•Serving as a liaison to Aero Lines of Business (LOBs) and Functions in helping to identify areas for investment opportunities
•Supporting the development of the strategic rationale for inorganic activities
•Ensuring consistent project management to meet the high op-tempo of the Strategic Planning organization
•Synthesizing market, environmental, budgetary, and financial trends to inform senior leader decisions

Basic Qualifications:
•Experience working across organizational boundaries in an aerospace/defense company
•Experience working in and leading projects in a multi-disciplinary team environment
•Experience researching and comparing companies
•Ability to analyze market data to identify key trends and investment opportunities
•Experience handling ambiguity and conducting research on challenging topics
•Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited college
Desired Skills:
•Experience supporting and/or analyzing Mergers & Acquisition (M&A), Venture, or Partnership business arrangements
•Knowledge of Aeronautics strategy, Lines of Business and functions, product segments, and/or customer missions
•Experience crafting, creating/building, and delivering presentations to senior management and senior internal customers
•Ability to work closely with technologist to identify connections between specific technologies and the Aeronautics strategy
•Master’s degree in business (MBA), Finance, Economics, or Engineering
•Experience collaborating cross functionally to gather inputs and develop strategies and investment justification
•Flexibility to quickly adapt to changing business environment and priorities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
•Experience researching and comparing companies to identify unique capabilities and offerings
•In-depth experience using Excel and PowerPoint for creating models and executive-level presentations

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $118,100 - $226,400. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:

For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
