Job Summary and Qualifications
The Data Analyst I is a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional who possesses a strong technical acumen and a sharp analytical focus, essential for interpreting and understanding the information systems that drive improvements in regulatory education outcomes. The Analyst will manage and analyze data related to our regulatory and accreditation clinical education initiatives, leveraging existing reports and analytical tools to assess business challenges and processes. Knowledge of business intelligence to enhance BI solutions across the enterprise will be critical for involvement in all aspects of the BI lifecycle—gathering requirements, analyzing data, creating reports, and understanding business processes—specifically tailored to the needs of Corporate Clinical Education, Regulatory & Accreditation team. The Analyst will participate in the agile execution of the product lifecycle, supporting the development of solutions and ensuring the achievement of our educational goals, ensuring the quality of all delivered products and translating data into actionable insights that propel both educational and operational success. A strong technical background, particularly with Microsoft Office products, is essential for this role.
What you will do in this role includes:
- Assists in the development of standard system metrics to drive efficiency in learning outcomes, project tracking, and inter-rater reliability accountability
- Perform data analysis with direction of business objectives. Maintains data in a useable and safe state
- Develops reports using a variety of tools such as Microsoft Power BI, MS Excel, etc
- Provides technical support in relation to any developing or published report within the domain of Clinical Education.
- Assists in identification and development of process improvement with data collection, storage, and maintenance
- Develops executive summaries about varying programs to include statistical analysis
- Ensures that all data management practices comply with organizational policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements
- Assists in development of relevant policy and procedure, as needed
- Works closely with team members within the Clinical Education team, the Regulatory, Accreditation, and Safety team, and other key teams, as needed
- Identifies and analyzes trends in technology and education. Collaborates with system teams to prioritize implementation
- Improve efficiency, effectiveness, and costs of education to support a culture of accountability and transparency
- Assists in budget analysis, as needed
- Provides assistance in evaluation of new products or vendors, as needed
- Identifies cost reduction opportunities and recommends actions to achieve savings
What qualifications you will need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science/Analytics, Business, Information Technology, Health Informatics, related field or anticipated college graduation within 6 months - Required
- 1+ year(s) of experience in an acute care setting - Preferred
- 1+ year(s) of experience as a data analyst in a healthcare setting - Preferred
- Ability to operate personal computers, smartphones, tablets, and A/V equipment without assistance - Required
- Proven familiarity with medical terminology - Preferred
- Proven experience with data reporting/visualization software (MS PowerBI, Tableau, Sisense, Fusion, Google Charts, DOMO, Infogram) Preferred
- Licensed Medical Professional - Preferred
- Data Analyst Certification - Preferred
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate - Preferred
- Certification in Simulation or Healthcare Education - Preferred
- The job may require infrequent travel, but not on a regular basis - Required
