Grants and Contracts Specialist II, College of Engineering | University of Idaho - Military Veterans

This position manages the administration of externally sponsored projects such as grants and contracts at the college, program or unit level, ensuring compliance with university policies, sponsor requirements and applicable regulations. The successful candidate will play a key role in facilitating successful program management within a unit or area. This position will work with the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) to review and process all pre and post award functions including assigned agreements, modifications and requests for sponsor prior approval, with a focus on moderate- to high-risk project types. Duties may include: Collect, analyze, interpret and document required information from sponsored project agreements and amendments Collaborate with faculty, researchers and/or staff to develop, review and submit sponsored project proposals Monitor project budgets, expenditures and financial reports to ensure compliance with sponsor and university guidelines Work closely with Principal Investigators (PI) and Co-PIs to address any sponsored project related issues Facilitate the timely and accurate closeout of sponsored projects Provide guidance and training to faculty and staff sponsored project policies and procedures Other duties as assigned
