Position Summary:
The Mold Maker is responsible to build , revise and maintain Entegris and Customer owned molds, tooling, and fixtures by performing machining and mechanical processes, methods and techniques. With proven performance the opportunities to grow into a larger or different role exist. Providing additional support to the production teams as well as helping cover on call situations can be available.
Hours for this role will be 6am - 2pm Monday - Friday with the overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities:
- Building of new molds along with mold inserts for existing tooling.
- Minimum 5 years previous experience with mold making
- Ability to repair to allow quick turn-around with issues as they arise within competency level .
- Maintains current and appropriate documentation in mold files . Completes all job related documentation.
- Operates Tool Room equipment at a high level of competency (CNC Mills, CNC EDMs and CNC Lathes to level of operation to proficient competency) .
- Troubleshoots and diagnoses problems related to mold cycling, mold function in the press, miscellaneous tooling and fixtures as required .
- Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
- Assembles production molds, cleans molds following standard procedures, and reassembles such as required .
- Completes other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Preferred Skills:
- 2-year degree in moldmaking or completion of qualified apprenticeship program
- Ability to demonstrate problem solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills .
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and perform math computations and computer data entry .
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand during entire shift .
- Ability to perform repetitive pushing and sliding of mold plates and mold inserts .
- Periodically, this position requires repetitive hand, wrist, and grasping of objects with fingers for extended periods of time .
- Ability to visually detect quality defects .
- Ability to work overtime and on-call schedule as required
