As an Applications Developer at Parsons you will be responsible for the research, design, development, testing, evaluation, and maintenance of software applications in an integrated manner. This role requires a deep understanding of various technologies and principles, including artificial intelligence, information systems, networking, distributed processing, real-time controls, system of systems, web, cloud, modeling, and simulation. You will also need to have experience with computer hardware, systems software, computer system architecture, and integration, as well as a strong foundation in mathematics.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Software Development: Research, design, develop, test, evaluate, and maintain software applications in an integrated manner.
- Technology Integration: Apply knowledge and experience in artificial intelligence, information systems, networking, distributed processing, real-time controls, system of systems, web, cloud, modeling, simulation, or a combination thereof.
- System Architecture: Work with computer hardware, systems software, and computer system architecture to ensure seamless integration.
- Mathematical Application: Utilize mathematics, including data structures, algorithms, discrete models, and modern algebra, in software development processes.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation and integration of software applications.
- Problem-Solving: Analyze and resolve complex technical issues related to software applications.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software applications and development processes.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline is required.
- 2+ years experience or 10+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- 8+ years experience or 16+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- 10+ years experience or 18+ years of relevant experience may be substituted for education.
- Must have a current/active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance if it is required in the future.
- Proficiency in artificial intelligence, information systems, networking, distributed processing, real-time controls, system of systems, web, cloud, modeling, and simulation.
- Experience with computer hardware, systems software, and computer system architecture and integration.
- Strong foundation in mathematics, including data structures, algorithms, discrete models, and modern algebra.
