Job Summary
At Sage Psych/ Cass Regional (Harrisonville), the Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) performs individual patient therapeutic modalities and techniques under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist (OTR). What you will do in this role:
- You will assist the OTR in the evaluation process as directed or as needed
- You will conduct treatments as assigned by the OTR and outlined in the treatment plan
- You will monitor the patient's response to treatment and make modifications during sessions as indicated in collaboration with the OTR
- You will supervise Rehab Aides
- You will coordinate and communicate with the interdisciplinary team involved in patient care
- You will participate in patient, family and staff education
Qualifications
- Minimum education required is an Associate’s Degree
- State Occupational Therapy Assistant License
- New graduates from accredited school may apply
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)
- This role requires you to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is approved)
Cass Sage Psych is a 10 bed facility. We offer acute inpatient, day treatment, and community-based outpatient behavioral healthcare. We treat primarily senior adults for emotional disorders, mental illness, and substance abuse. Our professional staff includes psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, and licensed professional counselors.
