Part- time Parking position – Parking and Duquesne University Card Center | Duquesne University - Military Veterans

POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible position within Parking Services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provides directions and assistance for students, parents, faculty, and staff, as well as visitors to the campus.
Helps locate buildings and offices; serves as initial contact person with the general public.
May serve in variety of functions from valet parking to directing traffic flow for special events.
Provides assistance to the campus police officers, and while not directly related in the chain of command, will take orders from the campus police in emergency situations or when assigned by the Associate Director of Parking & DU Card Services.
Completes other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum qualifications:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s license in good standing
Ability to operate both automatic and standard transmission vehicles
Minimum of one year of experience
Preferred qualifications:
Alternately, the successful candidate may possess any equivalent combination of experience and training, which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential job functions. This includes, but is not limited to, the following: Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Neat and presentable appearance
Ability to interact with the general public in a firm but courteous manner at all times, while maintaining the integrity of the parking plan established by the University.
