Additional Information About the Role

BJC is looking for a Project Manager in our Clinical Engineering area.  The Project Manager will be working on installation projects for the clinical engineering equipment.

This is a hybrid position that requires on site every week.  Must in the greater St. Louis area.

In Clinical Engineering our mission is to provide a team of empowered professionals providing continued improvement in patient care and equipment planning & support technologies. BJC Healthcares' Clinical Engineering (Clinical Asset Management) team provides�operational support and maintenance management of diagnostic, treatment, and patient support technologies.��Specific service areas include, Medical equipment planned maintenance services, Medical equipment demand and corrective maintenance services, Operational support for functions employing medical technology, Support of Risk Management and EH&S functions, Technology asset management support, acquisition and disposal, Technology maintenance contract management, Technology capital project planning and management.


Preferred Qualifications

Role Purpose

Independently manages projects ranging in size from ($5K to $20M). This position averages 10-35 projects at any one time, depending on project size. Position mentors and provides direction for the Project Coordinator position. Including but not limited to: developing initial budget, work with design team to accurately reflect equipment needs, confirm equipment list with customers, requesting and negotiating quotes, gathering equipment specifications for design team, tracking packing slips, coordinating delivery and installations, coordinating training.

 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains an understanding of cut sheets and architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing drawings.
  • Works with design team to establish equipment placement and MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) requirements are all reflected accurately on the design documents. With assistance from team members, reviews MEP drawings for accuracy and communicate revisions as necessary.
  • Evaluates existing equipment base for re-deployment or replacement. Works with Physicians, Clinicians, and leadership to determine appropriate equipment solutions for the project. Performs research on user requirements and obtains and reviews vendor quotes.Coordinates the equipment system configurations as needed.
  • Ensures PO's are issued in accordance to project schedule. Tracks PO's issued and verifies accuracy of purchased items (quantity, type, options, etc.). Confirms and coordinates the delivery & installation of equipment/services, ensuring they are tracked on the equipment list within scheduled timelines.
  • Generates a project equipment list and an equipment budget for assigned projects. Based on PO?s issued and billing, tracks financial status of assigned projects on a regular basis.
