Overview
General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is looking for an experienced Quality Specialist I-1st Shift to join our Lincoln, NE organization. We are expanding rapidly and looking for motivated and creative individuals who want to help support and shape this organization as we grow.
GD-OTS provides reliable and affordable composite products to the defense and commercial aerospace markets. With more than 50 years of expertise, General Dynamics designs, develops, manufactures and tests a full range of composite missile and space structures, including rocket motors, pressure vessels, launch tubes and fuel tanks.

Responsibilities
- Prepares and implements Quality Assurance policies, procedures & review cycles
- Maintains and updates internal audit programs and required audit schedules
- Participates in audits and creates audit reports
- Evaluates audit findings and aids in the implementation of appropriate corrective actions
- Maintains and improves Quality Management System and generate reports as needed
- Creates, updates & leads Quality training as needed
- May administer the material review boards & database
- May also lead or support various projects as assigned
Qualifications
Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.
Manager Specific Requests:
- Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
- Perform Cause Analysis and Risk Mitigation Action Planning (RCCA).
- Facilitate Site Level Corrective Action Workshops.
- Chair Site Level and Program Level Corrective Action Boards (CABs).
- Liaison with Customers and Corporate for Customer/Government Corrective Action Requests (CCARs/GCARs).
- Track CAPA tasks/status to meet KPIs and response deadlines.
- Evaluate effectiveness of Corrective Actions and make recommendations for improvement.

- Track metrics and report on performance versus KPIs and/or schedule:

- Compile, Process, and Analyze QMOS performance data.
- Present QMOS data analysis to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT).
- Manage the QMOS Rolling Action Item List (RAIL)
- Manage the Program QMOS Reviews for the ELT.
- Desired Skills/Experience
- Power BI Dashboard Creation and Maintenance (Data Analytics)
- Root Cause Corrective Action methods: 5-why, fishbone, cause mapping, etc.
- Writing/Revising Quality Management System Procedures and Instructions
- AS9100/ISO9001 Internal Auditor
- AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management System Administration
