Under the broad direction of the Technical Services Lead and the Service Delivery Director, this position supports daily operations of maintaining custom Finance applications/integrations, maintaining common boundary system integrations with Oracle Cloud Financials Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), and provides tier 3 support for Oracle Cloud Financials ERP technical features and Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management services. Position works closely with functional teams and other members of the Service Delivery team responsible for the design, configuration and support of Oracle Cloud SaaS applications. The position also works closely with other Administrative Innovation and Technology teams to resolve technical issues with ERP integrations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5 years of direct application programming experience in complex data-driven, multi-tier applications projects and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical staff to meet project and organizational goals.
  • Experience developing web applications, integrations, using batch management software and workflow development.
  • Experience programming web applications using a combination of related technologies and development tools including but not limited to: Spring, Groovy, JavaScript, JSP, HTML, XML, CSS, Web Services (REST/SOAP), JavaScript technologies: ES6/7, Node.JS, React, Mongoose, Babel, Express, Gulp, Jest, Java testing frameworks/tools (e.g., Junit, Mockito), and GUI /command-line interfaces: Eclipse IDE, Maven, Git, Bash.
  • Experience with creating queries and stored procedures for relational (SQL) databases, particularly Oracle and Postgresn, and database modeling principles, including referential integrity and performance tuning.
  • Experience designing and implementing complex data-driven, multi-tier web applications which are performant and user-centric, extrapolating business functions and objectives to technical solutions and employing systems analysis and data processing skills to translate manual operations to automated processes.
  • Knowledge of Code Quality tools: SonarQube, FindBugs, Emma, etc., developing pipelines via Apache NiFi and deployment tools: Docker, Ansible, Bamboo and components of a Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery deployment. Knowledge and understanding technical policies, recommendations, analyses, applying application development methodologies and standards, as well as programming techniques including analysis, flow charting, design, work measurement, data collection, and workflow processing.

    Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience with Oracle Cloud Financials workflow development, ESS batch job management, development of BIPublisher data models/reports and working with Oracle Cloud Financials APIs.
  • Experience with the Oracle Application Development Framework and in developing data models and reports in Oracle Cloud Fusion using OTBI, BI Publisher and Financial Reporting Studio. Understanding of the Oracle Cloud Fusion ERP data model. Experience working with Oracle APIs, integrating with Fusion applications, scheduling/monitoring of Enterprise Schedule System and BiPublisher batch jobs, BICC administration, workflow implementation and troubleshooting issues within Oracle Cloud Fusion. Knowledge of Oracle Visual Builder Studio and developing/deploying changes for Oracle Cloud SaaS applications.
  • Technical knowledge of ERP security components to support security analysts.
  • Knowledge and/or understanding of Finance or Accounting and Oracle Cloud Fusion applications.

    Department Overview
    Administrative Innovation and Technology is part of the Finance, Operations & Administration (FOA) organization and manages a diverse end to end portfolio of technology services essential to the entire UC Davis campus including UC Davis Health System.
    The Aggie Enterprise Service Delivery unit manages Oracle Cloud Infrastructure, Oracle Cloud Financial/Procurement ERP, and Oracle Cloud Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) services as well as manages the Finance IT Portfolio The position supports the mission of the university and protects the confidentiality and integrity of UC Davis' financial and budget data.

    Work Environment
