Business Execution Director-Third Party Program Head of Due Diligence - Military Veterans

About this role:
Wells Fargo Supply Chain Management (SCM) is currently seeking a Business Execution Director - Third Party Program Due Diligence Leader. This person will be responsible to provide the strategy and vision for the following activities as well as oversee their execution: BAU Inherent Risk Questionnaire updates, IRQ Annual Review changes, ongoing engagement with first and second line risk partners, review and prioritization of defects and enhancements in systems of record, re-engineering and re-thinking the due diligence process to move it to its future state, including ongoing performance and risk monitoring activities of this work. This position is also responsible to escalate areas of non-compliance with Policy requirements as well as heightened areas of third-party risk to internal stakeholders, executive management, and regulators.
In this role, you will:
- Develop Program requirements for third party due diligence in consultation with first- and second-line risk partners and review of outside environment, e.g., regulatory changes.
- Develop the changes required in process and technology to meet these requirements, create plans for their implementation, and then executes these implementation plans, including in the Third-Party Program system of record, STORM, as well as associated Program processes.
- Coordinate on these changes with key stakeholders, including Independent Risk Management, Audit, lines of business, and Technology.
- Inspect/confirm third party program controls are executed in accordance with policies/procedures, especially the IRQ Annual Review control and related processes.
- Oversee UAT and related testing activities for STORM change releases.
- Cultivate value-added relationships with leadership in the first- and second-line risk partner organizations, and in conjunction with these key stakeholders, creates the vision for the future state of the third-party due diligence process.
- Develop and execute the plan and actions to move from the current state to the future state.
- Manage and develop multiple business functional areas with focus on implementing and delivering long-term strategies, policies, and process advancements for cross-functional stakeholders, and internal and external partners associated with the area of Business Execution or who are affected by its outcomes.
- Identify Business Execution opportunities and strategies for process improvement and risk control development over the long-term to ensure operational excellence and process efficiency.
- Lead Business Execution team for assigned initiatives ensuring solutions are designed, integrated, and controlled to improve effectiveness, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate.
- Interpret and develop a range of policies and procedures for long-range and fundamental retooling of perspective, approach, culture, quality, relationships, operations, and capabilities.
- Collaborate and influence functional management to obtain resources, influence outcomes, address conflict, and ensure alignment with Wells Fargo strategies or policies and business line objectives.
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Business Execution.
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.

Position does not provide relocation.
Required Qualifications, US:
- 8+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, including Management experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
- 4+ years of management experience.
Desired Qualification:
- Third party risk experience in financial services.
- Extensive Experience within financial services industry, and preferably will have worked in a similar role.
- Proven ability to partner with key senior leaders to drive change and accountability across an organization.
- High degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight.
- Strong leadership, relationship building, and collaboration skills.
- Experience engaging with senior bank management and regulatory agencies.
- Strong organizational and administrative skills, with a focus on delivery management.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities.
- A clear and concise communication style that can simplify the complex and ensure a common understanding can be quickly reached.
- Strong analysis skills to get to the core of issues.
Job Expectations:
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
- Ability to work the hybrid model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote each week.
Position is not VISA eligible.
Position may be removed early due to candidate volume.
New York - New York Pay Range: $144,400 - $300,000 USD annual (this range may not be applicable to other locations)
