Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The position will include teaching the University's Foundations of American Democracy course for the University's General Education Requirement and other classes in the instructor's expertise. The teaching load is 4 courses each Fall and Spring semester.
Minimum Experience / Education:
UNC Charlotte gives primary consideration to the earned masters and/or terminal degree in the teaching discipline or a related discipline.
Preferred Education Skills and Experience:
Qualified candidates must have a Ph.D. (or an equivalent terminal degree) in Political Science or a related field at the time of appointment. Candidates must have teaching ability in American politics and a commitment to teaching in a dynamic, access-oriented, urban research university. Preference will be given to candidates with prior teaching-related experience, and evidence of the potential for excellence in face-to-face, online, and hybrid teaching. Salary: $63,500.
