About the Opportunity

Our Civil Engineering team is dedicated to developing and delivering high-quality engineering solutions. We specialise in drafting and executing civil engineering capabilities for a range of complex, highly technical projects, with a focus on the nuclear and defence sectors. Our work often involves evaluating the impact of extreme hazards such as seismic events, blast loads, and environmental conditions. We don't just follow standard practices; we apply first principles to better understand structural responses and challenges, aiming for innovative, durable, and safe solutions. Collaboration is key, and we take pride in fostering a learning environment where new methodologies are explored, and out-of-the-box thinking is encouraged. Key Responsibilities:

• Capability Drafting and Execution - Take ownership of the preparation and delivery of civil engineering design packages, calculations, and associated documentation.
• Design delivery - service diversions, new services, external works and retaining wall design and detailing on brownfield congested sites
• Technical Excellence and Quality Control - Ensure that all project deliverables meet the highest technical standards, including compliance with relevant structural and civil engineering requirements.
• Client Relationship Management - Develop strong working relationships with internal teams and clients and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Contribution to Business Systems - Uphold and contribute to quality management systems, business operations, and design safety protocols.
  
  Health and Safety Culture - Promote and embed a strong health and safety culture in all project designs and executions.

Skills and Requirements

• Strong technical expertise in civil engineering design using British and international standards, including Eurocodes.
• Proven track record in delivering civil engineering deliverables.
• Sound understanding of civil engineering principles and the ability to solve complex structural problems.
• Experience in drafting bids, proposals, and building strong, lasting relationships with clients and internal colleagues.
• An accredited MEng degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
