The college is a recipient of the Cincinnati Business Courier 2021 Best Places to Work award.  Job Overview The University of Cincinnati's Blue Ash College invites applications for a one-year visiting assistant professor of Political Science with the possibility of renewal. The appointment is intended to begin in August 2025. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for teaching multiple sections of the standard Political Science introductory course, Introduction to American Politics. Additionally, the Department of History, Philosophy, and Political Science seeks candidates whose specialties can complement the department?s strengths in fields such as but not limited to diversity, sustainability, community, and gender.   Essential Functions Teaching a variety of undergraduate courses including but not limited to Introduction to American Politics, the introductory course for Political Science. The teaching load is 12 credit hours (typically 4 courses) per term, fall and spring.  Teaching additional courses as determined by their field(s) of specialty and student demand. Teaching in both online and in-person formats. Online instruction will be expected to meet the standards of the Quality Matters rubric.  Participating in department meetings and service to the unit, including but not limited to representing the department during on-campus events and presentations to the department as appropriate. Minimum Requirements Prior to effective date of the appointment, all of the following: ? PhD in Political Science or a closely related field ? Two academic years of teaching experience which must include at least one survey course in American politics and both online and in-person teaching     Application Process Applicants must apply online at https://jobs.uc.edu.
