This Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable (AP/AR) Specialist position offers an exciting opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to join an accounting team. Below is an outline of the key aspects of the role:

Job Title:
Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Specialist

Compensation:
Up to $56,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
Coding and Entry:

Accurately code invoices, vouchers, expense reports, and check requests into the financial system following established procedures.
Vendor Management:

Address vendor inquiries and resolve any issues related to invoices and payments, maintaining clear communication through phone and email.
Purchase Orders:

Prepare requisitions for non-inventory purchase orders and ensure all supporting documentation is attached to incoming invoices.
Invoice and Payment Processing:

Investigate and resolve issues with invoice and purchase order processing.
Assist with batch check runs, wire transfers, and ACH transactions.
Financial Reporting and Reconciliation:

Assist in processing month-end accruals and ensuring accurate monthly financial closing.
Reconcile accounts by identifying and resolving discrepancies.
Customer Billing:

Prepare and send customer billing, create monthly aging reports, and manage collections by responding to customer billing inquiries.
Account Inquiries:

Research and resolve routine inquiries from both internal and external parties concerning account statuses.
Position Requirements:
Experience: 1-2 years in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
Skills:
Proficiency in 10-key by touch.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
High organizational skills with strong attention to detail and multitasking ability.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial systems.
