Accounts Payable/Receivable Clerk - Military Veterans

Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist
Location: Columbia, SC (onsite)
Pay: $16-$19/hr
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8am to 5pm

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking to grow their career in accounting.

Key Responsibilities:

-Accounts Payable:
-Process and review invoices for accuracy and proper documentation.
-Ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and expense vouchers.
-Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
-Maintain vendor records and handle inquiries.
-Assist with month-end closing tasks and reporting.

Accounts Receivable:
-Generate and send out invoices to clients/customers.
-Monitor and follow up on outstanding accounts to ensure timely payments.
-Record incoming payments and update customer accounts.
-Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
-Address client inquiries and resolve billing discrepancies professionally.

Key Skills and Qualifications:
-Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles (AP/AR).
-Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks (not required)
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
-Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
-Strong communication skills to interact with vendors, clients, and team members.
-Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
-Previous experience in Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable roles.
