Summary:

As a Digital Product Owner on the Digital Experience team, you are a vital member managing the backlog across a suite of products within a portfolio interacting with stakeholders cross-functionally across the healthcare system. This role requires a customer-focused, data driven, organized, innovative and effective communicator supporting the pinky promise of Cook Children's through various initiatives.

Expected activities include:

  • Managing the backlog (features, user stories, etc.) for products in collaboration with technical resources, analysts, SME's, and engineers using agile methodologies

  • Collaborating with product management, user experience, leadership, and stakeholders to prioritize the backlog

  • Ensures the execution of prioritized features each quarter and collaborates with multiple teams (operational, training, education, marketing, etc.) to encourage adoption of features

  • Work with our PMO to deliver on established project timelines as needed

  • Engage as a valued member of the team to contribute to the overall product vision

This role is remote within Texas and is required to travel on site for quarterly planning sessions and periodically per the direction of the Vice President of the division.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree required.

Must meet one of the following:

  • 5 years experience in an IT role providing application, data or workflow analysis with progressive experience,

  • 5 years experience in a clinical role with responsibility for implementing or optimizing workflows utilizing one of the modules supported,

  • 5 years experience in a Marketing Technology role with progressive experience.

  • Preferred: 2+ years working as an agile product owner.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities:

  • Has a growth mindset in becoming familiar with the many technology stacks used to deliver a user-centric digital experience to best support technology teams (e.g. programming languages, Epic MyChart, content management systems, etc.)

  • Proven success in internal and external communication and relationship management with all levels of expertise from administrative to executive.

  • Strong communication (spoken and written) skills

  • Strong product acumen and product sense

  • Familiarity with project/product management and collaboration tools (ServiceNow, ADO, Figma, LucidSpark, Miro, etc.)

  • Must be able to anticipate and resolve problems, obstacles, and timing issues

  • Must be well organized and able to prioritize with minimal direction

  • Ability to structure vague concepts into concise actionable plans

  • Ability to lead with influence

Certification/Licensure:

  • Relevant information technology, product, or user experience (UX/UI) certifications preferred

  • Epic certification required within 6 months from employment, including 2 test retakes. If position does not support Epic, then a bachelors degree is required in lieu of an Epic certification.
