THE WORK
The Spectrum Convergence (SC) DevSecOp Syracuse Site Senior Manager is responsible for leadership of an Integrated Engineering Systems and Software organization through the successful capture and execution of Systems and Software products within the Electronic Warfare portfolio on the Syracuse, New York site. A key responsibility for this individual is recruiting, strengthening, energizing, and retaining quality engineers. This leader will ensure strong process and tools are employed in engineering efforts, and a continuous improvement is made via 1LMX and other mechanisms. The DevSecOps Senior Manager is responsible for Cost, Schedule, and Quality of all systems and software products. This leader will be responsible for healthy collaboration and partnership with the SC Chief Engineers and Program offices, Integrated Engineering leaders across other sites, as well as local C6, IWSS, and eTech leadership. Resource planning and optimization across programs is vital in this role, including quality forecasting and rapid response to demand for engineers.
This leader should have a demonstrated track record of Full Spectrum Leadership with a focus on performance, culture, and teamwork. Applicants should have proven experience in developing, communicating and executing a strategic organizational vision. As the senior manager over hundreds of engineers this leader must be a cultural shaper, ensuring their organization and team are motivated and lead to consistently demonstrate excellence. This role reports to the Spectrum Convergence Integrated Engineering Director.

Basic Qualifications:
- In-depth skill / experience in leading the development of Complex Systems and Software Products on challenging programs
- Demonstrated experience in Captures, including Developing and reviewing detailed Systems and Software Cost Packages
- Demonstrated passion and skill in applying modern Systems and Software Development tools and process across the lifecycle
- Demonstrated experience in attracting/developing talent pipelines to sustain technical expertise within the organization
- Demonstrated leader or leader qualities such as setting strategy, strong communications, and energizing of teams
Desired Skills:
- Demonstrated proactive partnering across peer disciplines including the Program Office, Chief's office, etc.
- Experience in delivering creative solutions to engineering resource management (people, processes, and tools)
- Demonstrated ability to partner effectively at all levels of the organization, and perform organization level comms
- This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration
- The position is based out of Syracuse NY and will require onsite presence
- Experience successfully setting up software engineering product lines
- Experience in modern engineering (including 1LMX) practices (e.g. Agile, MBSE, Automation)
- Knowledge of Software Parametric Modeling

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Maryland, Washington or Washington DC is $153,200 - $293,600. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California and New York is $176,200 - $331,900. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
